I read Friedman’s book as he projected the next 100 years. It all seemed very plausible, but he himself was clear that none of us will ever live long enough to appreciate how close his predictions came. He uses a very disciplined methodology ( geopolitical economics vs. technology trends) to make his predictions, it will be interesting to see how these play out over a shorter window of time and how they might complement his long view.
